We are so excited that we will have a community Rink for 2021!
Contractors will be working on the site prep and installation of the liner next week. Our contractors are monitoring the weather, and as soon the weather is cold enough consistently over consecutive days, they will then start flooding. We are predicting the rink to be ready by December 17th, weather permitting and will endeavor to communicate any delays that we are made aware of.
- The temporary rink will be located at the green space by the community garden.
- Access to the rink is via the sidewalk
- Absolutely no vehicles are permitted on site near the rink. Ample Parking is available on the road.
- The rink will be open from 7am to 10pm daily, the lights will be turned on daily from 4pm to 10pm.
- Detailed rink usage rules will be posted on site.
- A crew that will maintain the ice once per month and shovels will be provided for residents to use.
- Current provincial Covid-19 regulations apply.
- The rink is for all our residents and needs to be shared. Please be respectful to your fellow residents and ensure it is used fairly by hockey players, skaters and any resident trying the ice for the first time!
